2. Is Clio moving toward a fully unified platform?

Yes, we see a world where Clio offers a fully unified experience for firms that want it, delivering an integrated platform across operations, legal research, AI, and more. This approach brings significant benefits, particularly for smaller law firms looking to simplify and consolidate their tools. We also see a massive need and opportunity to meet customers how they want to work, and we will continue to fully support and enable stand-alone vLex experiences and products, along with modular solutions for larger firms. Our ultimate goal is to build an intelligent legal operating system that adapts to firms’ diverse needs.

3. Where does Agentic AI fit into Clio’s vision?

Agentic AI is a natural extension of our platform that empowers legal professionals to work more efficiently while staying in full control. Our approach to AI is purposeful and focused on delivering real value through time savings, better decision-making, and enhanced client service. Combined with vLex’s unparalleled legal research and our comprehensive system of record, Agentic AI helps lawyers focus on high-value legal work by handling repetitive tasks, delivering proactive insights, and suggesting the next best actions. We’re just getting started. Our AI roadmap is robust and deeply aligned with the way legal workflows actually function, positioning us to continue driving meaningful innovation for the profession.

4. How do you see Clio’s journey today especially as it relates to innovation?

Clio’s journey has always been rooted in innovation, but never innovation for its own sake. For over a decade, we have evolved by focusing on meaningful advancements that truly drive better outcomes for law firms and their clients. Today, we operate at the unique intersection of legal operations, research, and intelligence. With the addition of vLex and the power of Agentic AI, we are entering a new era of legal technology that is faster, smarter, and more complete, reimagining the legal experience in ways that matter.

5. How should law firms consider/approach decisions around tech stack consolidation?

Law firms that are truly forward-thinking are prioritizing integrated, more unified experiences over a proliferation of point end solutions. The goal isn’t just to reduce the number of tools, but to ensure that each one delivers maximum value and contributes to a seamless, connected workflow. By consolidating their tech stack around platforms that work together intelligently, firms are seeing robust usage and greater impact. In an era where AI and data-driven workflows are becoming central to legal work, firms need solutions that are secure, reliable, and able to evolve with their needs.
